how a total dad Fail led to the opportunity to Inspire kids every day.

Scoops Lacrosse was born in 2017 after Coach Bels failed attempts to get his 5-year-old son, Archer, interested in lacrosse. Frustrated, Coach Bels changed tactics by turning drills into a game using colored cones and points. To his surprise, Archer asked to play again, eager to improve. Coach Bels realized that young kids value fun and challenge over traditional drills, sparking a passion in me to rethink youth sports.

As he learned more, Coach became concerned about the increasing competitiveness and cost of youth sports, leading to early specialization and burnout. By age 13, 70% of kids quit organized sports. In response, he left his corporate job to focus on creating fun, confidence-building experiences for kids through Scoops Lacrosse.

Seven years and 13,500 "scoopers" later, Coach Bels and Scoops remain dedicated to helping kids discover their strengths through play, fostering joy and confidence along the way.
